AI Image Extender
Add space above, below, left or right of an image, up to 500 pixels per side, and the AI fills it to continue the picture. Your original is pasted back over the result.
What an image extender does, and when to use it
Extending an image, sometimes called outpainting, adds canvas around a picture and fills it with content that continues what is already there. Set how many pixels to add on each side, up to 500, and the AI generates the new area to match the colours, texture and lighting of your image.
Your original is pasted back over the result, so the part you uploaded stays as it was. There are two exceptions: a canvas larger than 4,096px on a side is scaled down as a whole, and if that final paste fails you receive the AI output as generated.
Use it to give a tight crop room for text, widen a design for a banner, or add margin around a print. Creativity sets how freely the new area is invented, from Low for a close continuation to Max. The new area never adds people, faces or text.
