Why convert PDF and images locally

Most "PDF to PNG" tools on the web upload your file to a server, convert it, and return a download link. For sensitive content — contracts, legal filings, scanned IDs, designs under NDA — that upload is a risk. Even services that claim they delete your file after conversion leave traces in load balancers, logs, and backups.

This tool runs PDF rendering (via pdfjs) and PDF composition (via jspdf) entirely inside your browser. Nothing crosses the network. Close the tab, the file is gone. Good enough for most desk-work; critical for NDA / compliance contexts.

Q.Why not use a Google PDF converter?

Google's tools upload your files to a server, where they're processed and temporarily stored. For sensitive documents (contracts, legal, medical, design under NDA) that's a privacy exposure. This tool runs entirely in your browser — the PDF never leaves your device.

Q.What PDF page size does Images → PDF use?

By default we fit each image to A4 portrait at 72 DPI (the PDF screen-display standard). You can change to Letter or square output. The image is scaled with aspect preservation and centered on the page.

Q.What quality does PDF → Images output?

We render each page at 2x native resolution to produce crisp PNGs. For a standard A4 page at 72 DPI, that's 1190×1684 pixels — more than enough for screen display, social sharing, or downstream editing. For print-quality you'll want to re-export from the original source.

Q.How many pages can I convert?

No hard limit, but browsers run out of memory above a few hundred high-resolution pages. For normal use (10-50 page documents), it's instant. A 300-page PDF may take a minute and use several hundred MB of browser RAM — still works on a desktop.

Q.Are scanned PDFs supported?

Yes — we treat every page as an image. The output is the scanned image exactly as stored in the PDF, at double resolution for clarity. Scanned PDFs with OCR layers keep both the image and the OCR text in the output (though only the image is exported in the image direction).

Q.Is my file private?

Yes. PDFs render via pdfjs in your browser; image PDFs are composed via jspdf in your browser. No upload, no storage, no logging. Close the tab, your file is gone.

Q.Can I use this commercially?
